Phillip Grant Gillespie, 59, of Jefferson, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017.

A native of Clarke County, Mr. Gillespie was a son of Joseph Cecil Gillespie and the late Annie Lou Phillips Gillespie. He worked as a truck driver.

Survivors, in addition to his father, include wife, Tina Hiatt Gillespie; son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Alison Gillespie of Madison County; daughter and son-in-law, Gennie and Chad Dearing of Hall County; stepson, Jason Hiatt of Jefferson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and John Dellinger and Susan and Paul Cronic; grandchildren, Sara Grace Gillespie, Tucker Dearing...

A native of Clarke County, Mr. Gillespie was a son of Joseph Cecil Gillespie and the late Annie Lou Phillips Gillespie. He worked as a truck driver.

Survivors, in addition to his father, include wife, Tina Hiatt Gillespie; son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Alison Gillespie of Madison County; daughter and son-in-law, Gennie and Chad Dearing of Hall County; stepson, Jason Hiatt of Jefferson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and John Dellinger and Susan and Paul Cronic; grandchildren, Sara Grace Gillespie, Tucker Dearing and Evan Gillespie.

He was a loving husband, father and Papaw, who dedicated his entire life to his family.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 19 from 6-8 p.m. at Bernstein Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 20 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
